A comprehensive reimagining of the University of Tennessee's Humanities center as both a local asset and an international hub.
When the UT Humanities Center detailed their goals for the center, they emphasized the need to highlight their regional characteristics as well as their international aspirations. My proposal for a refreshed UTHC brand features a quilt; the symbol is rich in duality, between warm connotations and clean lines, Appalachian history and timeless geometry. Beyond the logo, my explorations bleed into web, print, merchandise, and ephemera.
After the long process of ideating dozens of logos, narrowing them down, and selecting a front-runner, animation brings it all to life.
To expand upon how a new UTHC brand could function, I designed several deliverables for the center's One Health + Humanities Days event series.
